For Future Me LLC, operating as Paused ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy covers both the Paused website and the Paused mobile application (the "App"). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
Information we collect
On our website
When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. That is all we ask for. We do not require your name, phone number, or any other personal information at this stage.
We may also automatically collect basic analytics data when you visit this website, such as your browser type, device type, and the pages you visit. This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to your email address.
In the App
The current version of the Paused App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. All data created during your use of the App — including your session interactions and preferences — is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to our servers or any third party.
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App.
Sensitive information
Paused is designed to support people in emotionally sensitive moments. We take the sensitivity of this context seriously. The App processes your interactions entirely on your device. Nothing you do in the App is transmitted to us or to any third party.
How we use your information
- To send waitlist members updates about Paused, including when the App becomes available.
- To understand who our early audience is, so we can build the right product.
- We will not sell your personal information to any third party.
- We will not send you advertising for other products.
Third-party services
On our website
Formspree. We use Formspree to collect and receive waitlist sign-ups submitted through our website. Your email address is transmitted to and stored by Formspree and is subject to their privacy policy, available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
In the App
The current version of the Paused App does not use any third-party services that collect or receive your data.
We choose providers with strong privacy practices and do not authorise any third-party service to use your data for their own commercial purposes.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from our communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You can also request that we delete your email address from our waitlist by emailing us at hello@usepaused.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR including the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@usepaused.com.
Children's Privacy
The Paused website, waitlist, and App are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data retention
Waitlist data. We retain your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or until we no longer need the waitlist data. We will not retain data longer than necessary.
App data. All data created during your use of the App is stored locally on your device. It can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the App. We do not retain any App data on our servers.
Cookies
This website may use minimal analytics cookies to understand visitor behaviour. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. The Paused App does not use cookies.
Future changes to data collection
As Paused develops, future versions of the App may collect usage and diagnostic data to help us improve the product. We will update this policy and notify users before any such changes take effect.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Paused develops. If we make significant changes, we will notify waitlist members by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
